Why would you not want patch pockets on a tweed jacket?  Are you an equestrian?  We infantry types need patch pockets to keep shotgun shells in.

I hate patch pockets, as well as ticket pockets.
I do not carry my own shotgun- Bernadelli 12 guage.
It is handed to me loaded when I require it.

S. Cohen? Not carried in the US?
If MTM, then flap pockets could be specified.

Just read the entire thread (well, looked at the pretty pictures) and now I am distraught that there is yet another week of 80 degree weather in my local forecast.  NEED TWEED!

 

Wes, this hasn't gone on the bay yet, has it?  I woke up this morning thinking about a Norfolk tweed, which is how I found this thread in the first place.

Patch pockets are great. Flap pockets are for plebes.

Can you tell the width? are they as light as your picture shows them? they seem darker on the website
