It was - look for 'keeper's tweed'. There are two weights - 750 and 1000.

Edit: They've changed their website somewhat, but both weights are still there under the 'hunt fabrics' pop-up gallery.

So....serious question....

Are you guys interested...

http://www.scotweb.co.uk/tartandesign/design/

A one time, custom woven Styleforum Tweed?? Imagine a meetup in NY, Chi, London, or SF. This could be epic.

I could also try to start a coat of arms logo competition at one of the design sites.

Think about it. PM me if you are interested. If enough people respond, I'll start a new thread and we can begin debating how to proceed.

I might be interested in helping to design a tweed, but the website seems to be for tartans - I find most tartans too bright.

Paul Stuart at 45th and Madison has some bold tweeds and some that are more subtle (the suits can get pricey).

Miller's Oath is another option in Tribeca (even more pricey, though).

I may be interested in a SF tartan. This would be for just the fabric, right?
Yes, just the fabric.

And FYI I think we could do a tweed or a tartan. This company seems to be able to weave their own fabrics so I can't imagine it would be that hard to do. But I do think it would be sick if we could get 20 dudes all wearing the same tartan to descend on mcsorley's in NY in the same fabric. Very gangs of New York.

We could also probably get some customs ties woven in our own regimental colors (we could design those too).

Agreed but I think it can be done.
