Furniture which is made from metal or plastics... they don't usually use a lot of wood.

you could get some
-bertoia dining chairs
-saarinen table
-barcelona chairs
-corbusier sofa

Throw in some eames fiberglass and you still won't even know what a piece of wood looks like.

Verner Panton
Pantella (lamps)
Le Klint

Most of the newer danish design like Normann, Hay, The stingray chair etc. is in rubber/plastic

They are PK22's by Poul Kjærholm

regarding the diningtable it really depends on the number of people you need to seat, size of the room etc. you have to remember that a round table will take up more space than a square, personally I would go for the small oval.

Check out convertable furinitures they are not mostly made of wood. And are better in quality and design.

cool yeah pk22's the one's i've seen were rattan or woven i dunno...

i really like the cream one. in fact i love the way pic 2 mixes cream and black leather

think i'm gonna put in an order for a couple of the pk22's in cream leather

love square one's too!

sorry but small oval is a size for the saarinen or do you mean just the shape you prefer? if so i'll look into it and ask to see that.

what do you think of this over the saarinen? it's an LC10.

I presumed it was this Saarinen table you were talking about.

According to the brochure it comes in 6 sizes 4 round and 2 oval, so the answer is shape oval in size small.smile.gif

I'm not to keen on glass dining tables especially square ones, they look cheap to me, for some reason, If I had to choose a glass dining table I would probably get a Platner.

thanks FF!

i have not decided on glass or marble yet actually. just not wood hehe! my wood table i'm currently using has a marble top.

though i hate how glass tables always have that green tinge ate the edges. kinda big pet peeve so i think it's better to abstain.

i really like the chair/table combo in that pic.

the lc10 just popped into my mind because it's in the modern furniture store i go to.

the other table they had was this.
