Cleaning Leather Jackets

Thread Starter

I have a leather coat of which I'm very fond. Yesterday a drunk spat a small quantity of beer on it, and there's a dime-sized shiny area on the front - hard to see if you don't know it's there, but nevertheless unpleasant. Can anyone suggest good ways to remove the spot at home?

I'd suggest dry cleaning but maybe this link can help you http://www.ehow.com/how_5802342_clean-spill-leather-coat.html

Does this help any? I just want to know if there are any particular cautions to take when treating stains involving alcohol.

I'll have it cleaned if I can't do it myself.

daylight or using the camera flash would help.
