Yes, I know. But I've been told I am very charming.

Have you been told you're a fucking runt? J/K

I can't talk, because I'm on the other end of the spectrum at 5'9" and around 205 - 210. No matter what I eat, sleep, work, or what, it stays within the same 5 to 10 pound range. At least I'm fat all over and not just in the gut.

6'2" 176lbs.  pretty muscular for an ectomorph.

6'3 and 175 lbs. Athletic build. Not very big muscles but they're clearly visible since I don't have any fat. Working on gaining another 10 pounds of muscle.

6'1" 145 lbs here. Extreme ectomorph. Used to be much skinnier than this, but I bulked up over the past 2-3 years. I used to be one of those emaciated skinny types where you'd see me and the first thing you'd think is, "damn, he's fucking skinny." My ideal weight is around 175 lbs but that would take me an eternity. I think I'd be content at around 160 lbs.

I'm still skinny in the sense of the word, but I have much more muscle mass and definition. Went in for a health check up bout a month ago and they said I have low levels of bad cholesterol, ideal levels of good cholesterol, excellent heart rate, and 4.5% BF. The nurse was flabbergasted at the BF percentage. She said I should keep doing what I'm doing because I'm in excellent shape. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Currently 210 at 5'10

I was down to 200 earlier in the year, my overall goal is 190. I'm very muscular, I will be a sex beast at that weight

4.5% bf is not excellent shape, thats dieing and bf like that should only be maintained for a few hours at most, pro body builders in competition aren't that low. You should have visible veins and striations in your face at the bf%.

Really? I kind of thought it was really low too and the nurse was definitely surprised at my BF levels but she didn't express any concern.

I'm not veiny at all.

And for what it's worth, I did the measurement with some contraption you hold by gripping two bars with metal plates with both hands. I didn't think it could be very accurate.. but who knows.

One of these things: BIA.jpg

Yeah those things aren't too accurate, I think the most accurate method is water emersion or something. 4.5% is ridiculously low, I think I read somewhere that the minimum body fat you need to even function is around that.
hmm.. I figure I'm somewhere around 7-9% BF then (just a random number out of the air).

There are a couple of ways - DEXA scan or the Bod Pod should also give some accurate bodyfat measurements.

5'6" 162 lbs, ~`10% bf

Just like in any measurement technique, consistency is what matters. Some impedance measurement system (like that grippy thing there) isn't really reliable to say the least. However, it is still possible to track ones bf with such things if you're consistent - i.e. a one-shot pop of 10% bf isn't going to tell you much, however a steady decrease/increase over time in the values will tell you the way you're going.

Also, at the lower ends of the bf spectrum for males (say, 3-4% bf) stuff like vascularity and muscle striations will become exceedingly apparent... so, if you're measured at 3% bf with some contraption and yet don't have any vascularity, striations or hardcore muscle definition - I hate to break it to you, but then you're really not 3% bf.

My BP went from about 140/90 to 116/65 as measured yesterday. Not bad for someone my age:)
