Hair Stylist Recommendations Los Angeles:

I've been going to a $12 haircut barber most my life, looking to add some style to the standard teenage asian shaved sides and short top where I just throw in some gel.

I've grown my hair out pretty long (I've got about 3.25 inches to work with now), I've been dying to get my hair cleaned up just don't want the months I put into growing out wasted by a bad haircut.

Sweeny Todd's. On Hollywood between Hillhurst and Vermont. 21 dollars gets you a great cut. Best haircut I've ever got. Go late in the day, and avoid Saturday mornings. I've waited for 2 hours on a Saturday. Not so bad though, they have old movies playing and stuff to read.

Cash only and dont talk on your cell phone.

Here's my suggestion if you're around the valley.

Mike's a great guy, and guess what?..........He's a straight-male hairstylist, with a wife and kids and everything....straight-male hairstylists are a dying breed, which is too bad because they really know how to cut men's hair without making a guy look all foofy. Don't let the girly pics on his website fool you.......he specializes in men's hair and actually listens to you and does what you say. If you have an Alfalfa cowlick, he'll cut that sucker down. If you need to look conservative for a job interview, forget the crewcut, he'll give you that nice uniform 50's madmen look. If you want a more modern or daring hairstyle, he can do that too.
