Bay Area Winter wear

I'm curious as to what you all in the Bay Area wear in the winter (not counting sport coats and suits). I'm talking in terms of shirts, pants, jackets/coats, scarves... I know overcoats are unnecessary in the climate here, but I'm having a hard time finding a coat that will be warm enough for winter nights.

Any insight is appreciate on what kind of things you wear and material (wool, cashmere, cotton, etc...)?

Thanks

I actually do wear overcoats on cold winter evenings in the Bay Area.

But no matter how cold it gets -- never really below the high 20s -- you'll still see boys (teens and 20-somethings) wearing t-shirts, shorts, & flip-flops. They always pretend to be fine ... even when they are shivering.

Northface fleece jacket/vest?

I am usually in my peacoat if not wearing a suit, and usually scarves works well enough to avoid wearing an overcoat. And rain coat if its raining.

Daytime? Rarely does the temp drop much below 55. Stick with all season to mid weight wool.

Night? Can get chilly

High 20s? You mean Celsius?

Usually Barbour or TAD Gear fleece. I have an Icebreaker Mayfair for when it gets er, uh, really cold...

Polo and peacoat is the usual. If it is raining, northface jacket with the removable fleece sweater. I also wear overcoats depending on the night.

Flannel suits. A raincoat if it's wet. That suffices.

So true...

Thanks for all the advice. Where do you guys get your pea coats?
