Where to buy Japanese clothing brands?

I love some of the pictures I'm seeing of Japanese brands like Ring Jacket and BEAMS, especially their sport coats. After searching through the interwebs I haven't found a good place to purchase their products, or others (like United Arrows, Azabu Tailor perhaps), in the U.S. The Armoury carries some Ring Jackets but doesn't have a large online selection. Can anyone point me to other websites that carry these products?

thanks!

Keep in mind that even if you find a place to buy stuff from the likes of Beams, United Arrows, Ships, etc. their sizes invariably run very, very small. I'm 6'0 and when I visit Tokyo my shopping at these places is largely limited to ties because nothing fits.

I have been wondering about that exact issue and was afraid that your answer would be the case. I guess at 6 ft and 185lbs I won't be spending a small fortune on Japanese clothes

Search online for purchasing services - there are sites where you can tell them what you want, and they'll go out and find the items in person. The one I used to know (sorry... can't remember the name....!) only charged an extra 10% of the total price.

Find a online proxy service to buy for you from Japan. I've used one for years that charges 15% but is extremely reliable and speedy in shipping. You might be screwed over if you don't have that asian body.

It's not just height. Standard Japanese clothing measurements are different all round. I've lived in Japan for on and off for years, and despite being average height for Japan (i.e. short in the west) and slim in build, there are two other areas I have found that cause problems: shoulders and the hip-buttocks area. In both, Japanese men tend to be narrower and leaner even than slimmer western guys. Denim is fine because Japanese makers tend to be sticklers for 'historical accuracy', including proportions, but otherwise it's really only T-shirts and unstructured jackets that I can wear.

Thanks for the info on purchasing services. Can you make returns if you go that path?
