I found this quite funny, especially the fact that he was so angry. I could see him storming out of the store in a huff.

Clerk: Sir, how do you find the fit and look of the Burberry suit?
OP: This is bullshit! $1000 and made in Italy! It doesn't even have pockets! I'm leaving! [Storms out]
Clerk: ??

The stitching is usually quite wide, making it easy to remove. I have even seen it on back pockets of pants. I personally leave many of the pockets on my jackets sewn shut; as I don't see a need for the use of the side pockets and keeping them sewn keeps them more neat.

Being Burberry I'd suspect it is a cheaper garment, and one mainly paying for the name here.

BTW 'Made in Italy' is no mark of quality, a crappy Fiat car and rubbish Indesit washing machine I once had where also both 'Made in Italy'.

Maybe their quality has improved. But in the Chroma I used to have, especially the electrics was just awful. Premature rusting was a major problem as well with many Italian cars. I'm sure in the 1980s the Italians just could not do good electrics, electronics and steel.

I guess making tailored garments is somewhat different to making cars and washing machines smile.gif
