Recommend me a hairstyle? (pics)

I like the look where the hair is more relaxed (think Snake from MGS, haha: http://giantenemyblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/metal_gear_solid_3_snake_ea1.jpg), but not sure if I can pull it off, esp. now that my hair is thinning a lot.

 

Anyhow; any suggestions? Every time I go to a hairdresser's and they ask me what I want, I never know what to say. And then it becomes a lottery with me hoping they do a good job and that I like the result.

 

Oh, and merge it to the hair megathread if you want, I wasn't sure if I should post it there or here as that thread seems to be more about haircare in general.

If your hair is thinning, pulling it back won't help. I'd ask him to get rid of the bulk on the sides and bring the top of your hair forward to add volume where you're thinning. Like a cleaned up version of Stephen Moyer (google him).

 

In terms of aftercare - you should invest in hair products that add volume and a good hair mousse.

Noooo - to much like a bowl cut! Try googling 'Jude Law Hair' - he has receding/thinning hair and styles it well.
