Holliday & Brown / Seaward & Stern - Source in the UK??

I recently discovered these brands and as far as i am aware they are from the UK. I am visiting in mid-October and would like to visit their stores.

 

I did a google search and there's nothing out there, wondering if any one here has info...

 

Also, are there any other similar brands to these? (I'm not so sure what I mean by that but maybe someone will)

S&S was apparently started by ex-Turnbull employees. Looks like they have a presence in Japan. Ask Andy has a thread about them.

If RJMan or Voxsartoria happen to be around, they may well know about them as RJ has spoken about Holliday & Brown in the past and Vox has mentioned S&S at length in previous posts.

H&B are irritatingly rare, as for my money, they make ties of equal quality to Drake's but they are both cheaper and wider than Drake's current selection.

There are a few department stores in Japan that carry Holliday & Brown and so I've picked up a few from there on trips over the years - but of course, that is of no help to you!

Holliday & Brown were, I believe, taken over by an Italian house some years back. They have a website, but it only has a front page and a contact e-mail address, with no further information.

I wonder if H&B still make in UK...

I bought a tie from "Bel y Cia" shop in Barcelona a couple of weeks ago; "HB" letters on the label at the narrow end of the tie revealed manufacturer -- but not a single word on the country of origin.

i wonder who is the company that bought them out. the posts on AAAC and other places on the net including the H&B website didnt really provide that much info thats why i made a thread here.

Well, according to this thread from 2007, H&B were bought by an Italian company called "Mantero".

I do remember them doing some collaborations with Prada a few years back, as well as some pretty psychedelic "re-editions" from their fabric archives.
