Do any of you own Atelier LaDurance Jeans? If so, please tell me where they are made. I'm hoping they're made in France. Thank you.

Tagged rather proudly as Made In France but they seem to have strong Dutch ties. The owner has close ties with Mode D'Emploi in the Hague, hence it seems them getting hte jump on ALD much of the time.

From someone who's handled a lot of Japanese jeans from Samurai, SC etc. it's a compliment to ALD when I say their construction is simply amazing.

Am I the only one that isn't a big fan of the design of the ALD?

I have the Classic Dungaree.

I bought them in a moment of weakness at a 50% off sale. Not a fan of the flaps or the stitching. I do like the denim though.

I can understand that some people prefer just a classic cut of jeans...but I like both.

Even if they're made in france, they're not made by beret wearing mimes under the eiffel tower. Garment workers the world over are uneducated poor women who make **** wages.

But ALD's are sewn by androids. So I guess they don't get paid at all.

Dave, tried the Prescott yet? Its their new five-pocket jean. No flaps, slimmer over-all but not drainpipe. Their best cut so far, IMHO, although I really still love wearing my Royals.
Yes, they're made in Provence, France. The designer/owner is Dutch who (to my knowledge) moved to Provence years ago.
