Moneyball

Didn't have high expectations, and I'm the furthest thing from a baseball guy outside of hopping on the Jays bandwagon whenever Bautista starts knocking them out. That being said, this was an awesome movie and managed to create some excellent moments without going completely overboard. Regardless of how you feel about the concept of moneyball in baseball, this movie is pretty good even if you aren't a fan.

My son was an extra in the movie. Can't wait to see it and to see him in background scenes.

Great film. Loved Bennett's use of old black and white photography, grainy film stock, and stuff that seemed bit-mappy as montage for the more statistical stuff. It's not really a baseball movie. Well, it is but It's also a combination of character study, infotainment, and some brief art-film inclinations along with a grand overarching theme of confronting established conventions. And friendship. Also, some great acting.
