For those apprehensive about joining us, when I first started lunching with the Brisbane gang I wore aquila shoes and $30 Pelaco shirts. foo.gif

Don't be concerned with what you've got in the wardrobe, style is Kaizen, a continuous state of improvement.

Ah, I'd wear the aquila bucks over most things I can buy in brisbane...

I still wear the occassion bit from target. Really come along all.

I can't speak for the rest but I will be judging at all times, if the rest of you don't turn up in Borelli MTM (at least), I will be leaving in my Rolls to eat with a more elitist group of persons.

Hope to see you all there at 6pm or thereabouts tomorrow evening.

Let's meet upstairs at Wagaya (one floor up from the Chinatown Mall in the TC Beirne building) at 6pm.

For those of you who have not met me before, I'll be wearing a pair of Nantucket red trousers, and I have a beard. I can't imagine that there will be anyone else matching that description around the Chinatown Mall!

Oh, I wholeheartedly agree - red trousers are an acknowledged sign of insouciance, immaturity, over-confidence and a general disrespect for authority and for the possible opinions of others!

i hope it was good; apologies i didn't make it.

i don't frequent this place too often anymore but bumped into neyus and he mentioned it... (if you're reading i hope my shoes are almost finished satisfied.gif)

are the majority CBD workers i.e a lunch can be done next time? unless of course it's also open to partners in which case a dinner is probably best.

Elvish, a few of us regularly get together for lunch every few weeks so I'll drop you a line next time we're planning on meeting up to see if you are free.


By the way, given that we are all Brisbane members here, people might be interested in a post that I just made in the Australian members thread:

For any Brisbane gents out there, I believe that the Brisbane Herringbone store is re-opening tomorrow after an extensive refurbishment. They've added a mezzanine level which they plan to use for Herringbone's relatively new MTO program (which has not previously been offered in Brisbane).

I'm not terribly excited by the MTO program, though, as I understand that it is not offered on a Herringbone block, but is instead offered using a Scabal (I think) cut, which seems a bit odd to me.

Nonetheless, I'll be interested to see what the refurbished store looks like.

Hi, Ruzzi.

I haven't tried Herringbone's MTO suits as the block/style doesn't really appeal to me. Also, Deer Style have made me few suits with which I am very happy so I haven't looked into Herringbone as much as I used to.

Herringbone do have some lovely Scabal fabrics on offer for the suits but unfortunately the block that they are using is not the standard HB block.

Four or five of us Brisbaneites have been meeting up for lunch regularly - let me know if you are interested and I'll let you know the next time we get together.
