Just had the best meal I've ever had in my life. Thanks for the advice everybody! The wine was terrific.

What'd you do about wine?

I just asked for a pairing that was within my student budget of under 120 bucks. Great choices, though I suspect my server was high on cocaine or something, he always looked glassy eyed and he charged me for wines that he never brought and forgot a course as well as the mignardises. He looked like he wanted to die when I pointed out that he overcharged me, haha.

That's a different question altogether as I'm pretty tolerant of imperfect service (as no one is perfect), but I did expect near perfection in regards to service from French Laundry. Everyone was very nice, though.

What? That is really outrageous. Did you let the manager know they have a serious problem?

They brought it out after some small confusion. I didn't think it warranted managerial intervention, but perhaps I should have mentioned it in passing.

That's pretty ridiculous for a low class place. TFL? Nah. You should have mentioned it (and perhaps still should).
