I own several Riedel stems from Sommeliere collection and find them almost too exquisite to pour wine into. Beautiful objects, but like all things of great beauty, these are extremely fragile. One wrong move and pouf! goes one bill. Spiegelau glasses on other hand, can take a decent beating, even the fine Willsberger line.

It's not really the shapes that is for me, the important thing. There is some inexplicable pleasure that comes from sipping out of an exquisitely thin crystal glass. I don't know what it is, but I really do think it enhances the whole experience, just like good china and flatware does.
