Interview should be about you, not the clothes. A good well fitted SB suit, on a young buck loaded with confidence, the job will be in the bag icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

I would add "enthusiasm". Most hiring managers will take an amateur with enthusiasm for the job / field over a bored, experienced worker any day.

I found that to be untrue. I have  been found unqualified for some jobs because I lack retail and sales experience while an ill dressed ex-car salesman got the position

Tbh, it depends on your age. Older men can pull off DB with ease. If you're on the younger side no contest SB for an interview.
