Funeral attire

seems like ive been going to a few funerals lately, and i still cant find the right thing to wear. i guess someones funeral is the last place you should consider your looks or what your wearing. I understand the black or dark is the general rule. but its been bugging me that i have a pretty good standard on how to dress, but let it all go when it comes to a funeral. does anyone have a pre something pre arranged for this? any advice would be nice.. Thanks

How about just wearing a black or dark charcoal suite, white shirt and almost any kind of tie.....I mean there aren't too many ties that will clash with a black suit and white shirt. How hard can it it really be?

My go to would be a black lounge suit, black oxfords, button cuff white dress shirt and plain black silk tie .

Having said that the last couple I've been to the surviving relatives have specified the occassion to be a celebration of the life of the person who's passed so at the service for relative who was a keen huntsman a dozen or so members of his shooting club turned up in Barbours, Norfolk Jackets and plus fours.

Yeah, I don't think it's that hard. If you are unsure wear a dark suit (grey, navy, black), white shirt and conservative dark tie. I too have been to funerals where it was more a celebration of the person's life. At one for a bow tie wearer, most of his friends as well as the church choir all wore bow ties. if you are not sure don't try this, though.

A funeral shouldn't take a lot of thought. Wear your darkest suit and the most muted tie. White shirt.

That's what I should have said!
