Sacramento tailor - Page 3

I've had suit jackets taken in at the waist, sleeves slimmed, shortened sleeves, tightened the shoulders, trousers taken in at the waist, tapered, hemmed, and cuffed, and I've had a ton of shirts taken in from the sides and the sleeves slimmed. I'm never really paid attention to the prices too much as it always seems fair, but it seems like $15 per shirt, and $20 for trouser alterations. Suits vary depending on what you have done, but shortening the sleeves always runs about $30-40.

More than one guy works at Morrow's?

Zachl - have you had the sleeves shortened on a jacket from the shoulders instead of from the end of the sleeve at Morrow's?

Seems like we gotta set up a Capital City Drinks when we are all in town - we have a lot of guys in the area.

We could probably get Mina to make the trip up for a day if needed also after her San Fran trip if we got some guys together.

I haven't been to Morrow's, only to El Dorado Hills Tailor, sorry if there was any confusion. Regardless, I have not had the sleeves shortened from the shoulders yet - working cuffs?

Yes. Usually I have this done in NYC or Mario Bosco when I'm in the A.

In regards to Sac, have you tried Navin's?

Have you had any complicated work done with her?  I've been going to Henry Tailor in Elk Grove for basic stuff like pant hems and having shirts taken in on the sides.  His work seems ok, but I'd like to compare.

That would be cool. I've never met anyone from the forum.

Nothing too complicated. I've only had her shorten/lengthen/taper/let out the crotch. The guy who runs Henry tailor was originally from men's wearhouse. I have no experience with Henry tailor but I hear they aren't that great.

just got back from EDH tailoring. The bill was $80 for the following alterations:

Lengthen sleeve on a suit jacket
Slim pant leg & thigh of same suit

Sacramento meet up?
Sorry for the four-week old bump ... but I'd be interested in a Sacramento meetup.

By the way, has anyone tried R. Douglas? Someone mentioned him on Yelp in the reviews for Morrow's.

I might be up for it. Thursdays generally don't work for me (I have Scouts that night) but most other nights I'm free if I have enough notice.
