I am a 45-year old southern banker who has histoically spent $700 - $900 on traditional 2-button suits with pleated pansts such as Hickey Freeman, HSM, and Brooks Brothers. Several of my suits are in need of replacement and I'd like recommendations of similary priced suits that would still fall into the category of timeless and classic but have a slightly more modern and updated look (i.e. trimmer cut, plain front, etc.) than what I've been accustomed to while still being appropriate for both my age and profession. Thanks in advance for any helpful feedback.

If you wanted to stick with BB, you could try their Fitzgerald or Milano cuts. Both are a slimmer fit, flat fronts and same price; the Milano is more fitted.
Hickey Freeman has apparently launched a new line, replacing Madison, Boardroom etc, and that line incorporates more fitted options

Those are 3 great brands. I am a huge HF fan and am also proud to buy American-made. I say stick with those brands and try some new styles. If you haven't looked in a while, you'd be surprised at what is out there from those brands.

Do this if you want to stay in your price range. BB Fitz are nice suits that are much slimmer with flat front trousers.
