Hello all,
I have been looking for some time for a nice pair of austerity brogues to wear to work. As an alternative to my other work shoes (Audley, Clifford and Weymouth).
I really do like the look of the Tavistock, but I am aware that it has been discontued. However, I would be really grateful for help with the following questions that I have from my forum members:
1. Does anyone who might know where I can still get a pair. In UK size 12 width E?
2. Does anyone know if there is a current group purchase scheme for this pair? (I am aware that C&J can produce a limited run of at least 12 pairs of the same shoe).
3. Last but not least, does anyone know if some other shoemaker/vendor makes an austerity brogue in a similar last to the 337.
C&J have confirmed they can provide me with a special order pair for between 650 to 675 GBP mark. However, this is a last (pardon the pun) option for me, as I see the Tavistock as work shoes. Moreover, for a few pounds more, I could get the EG Beaulieu and use those for more formal events.....
