Please critique my new custom jacket - Page 2

Something's off with the front. Maybe a "short front" where there's not enough material hanging over the chest so it pulls everything up. Look at the angle of the pattern from the side view. Besides that the shoulders and lapels look kinda narrow for my taste. Button point too high. And those pockets are kinda ugly, sorry. They're too small and placed too high. 

I don't get the "too big" comments.

I'm guessing those guys are used to wearing their big brothers clothes.

I think this comment is based on not seeing a defined suppression at the waist and the back hangs straight instead of following the contour of the lower back.

This is a difficult posture to fit. I have a client with a similar build and it took 3 or 4 pattern adjustments and fittings to get it right.

What fabric is that?

I'm almost certain that's VBC. HFW sourced it from them- I don't remember which bunch.

Yup, It is in the VBC Como II book # 369 Super 120's Worsted Jackets. Cloth # from Gladson is V-5, 104837. It may be a carry over and found in other Como Books too.

We just made up this cloth for a jacket last month.

+2 on vbc ... have the same fabric made up in a suit ... will mix and match it in the fall.

I'm pretty sure they rebranded it as John Hardy as well.

You're right they did. I didn't remember.

It is VBC 120s from Como II. Still one of my favorite jacket books.
