Oct. 4: A-E CEO at South Coast

For Southern California A-E fans, here's a heads-up! As part of A-E's "Rediscover America Customer Appreciation Night" program, on Tuesday October 4, Paul Grangaard, CEO of A-E, will be at the Allen-Edmonds store in South Coast Plaza from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., so here's an excellent chance to meet this important figure in the American shoe industry and generally socialize. There will be a drawing for a free pair of A-E's. Although it's not on the invitation, I was informed there would be a storewide sale, with all shoes 15% off.

I certainly plan to be there, and I hope other SoCal SFers will put in appearances as well.

I will wear the spectators if the weather is appropriate. If it's a chill, rainy evening, then the precious specs will of necessity stay home.
