Mr B's Blake boots vs Grenson Sharp/Fred - Page 4

hmm, I actually like the dark brown.

$147 shipped with discount code.

They seem to only have full sizes though.

I'm a 10D in most AE and a 9E in most C&J. What size you think would be reasonable?

I ordered my AE size, I'll let you know how they fit in comparison when they arrive this week

fantastic, thanks a lot!

I'm really enjoying mine. They both look and feel great. I love the color and the thickness of the triple leather sole.

For $147.00; vegetable tanned ,hand-antiqued , hand-made leather boots with full leather soles(see pics) made by experienced Italian shoemakers (right in little Italy), I'll take two.
I suspect these are my new fav. shoes, beating even AE-seconds and Bruno Mali from DSW.

how did you size as comparison to AE if you have any?

I have 3 pairs of Allen Edmonds. 2 Pair of Strands in 9 1/2 D and a pair of Cliftons in 10 1/2 B. That being said, I went with a 42 in the Mr. B's. The 43's were way too big.

this lack of half sizes kinda blows

ah what the hell, for $150, I ordered a pair of the dark browns in a 9.

we'll see what happens.

congrats!

Got mine today. They look good. If you have wide feet get a larger size. They are are on the narrow side.

The antiquing looks good. No faults.

Pretty good deal.

cool, looking forward to getting mine. I have narrow feet which should work nicely with the size 9.

How long did these things take to ship?

Went to check them out and try them on. Funny enough, my view has changed from the sckeptism I had for it being Aldo. Found an 15 % online code and ordered them online, as the store clerk was telling me it's limited stock and they didn't have the cognac colour in size 10.

I needed an insole for mine to feel flush, without it, there's some space. Thick socks should also take care of that. The dark brown is nice as well, but decided on the cognac. It's a lil bright and may darkened it a bit with some brown polish.

sounds good. I ordered monday, still no shipping confirmation...

just got mine in brown, was sure I was going to return them as soon I got them but these boots are actually pretty nice

only thing that bothers me is that the major toe perfing holes might be a bit too big, but its not a dealbreaker
