Recommendations for Boston?

Thread Starter
I'm visiting Boston currently and wanted to see if anyone had stores / restaurant recommendations? I'm staying in Copley square and have checked out the shopping center and parts of Newbury street, but nothing was too exciting.

Any particular stores or restaurants near here I should check out for sure?

Thanks!

^ Check out Giacomos. Great pasta, good value.

Have a drink (and dinner if you like the vibe) at La Voile. Ask Rory to make you one of his originals...

Drinkwaters in Cambridge is a fantastic clothing shop, and the owner (Gary) is a phenomenal guy. I've only ordered MTM items from there, but he has a pretty big in store selection also.

Check out Alan Bilzerian -- just a short walk from you Newbury. Stel's on Newbury is another great shop. In Cambridge, Drinkwater's is great.

Restaurant-wise, you can walk very easily to the South End. Places I enjoy there (by no means the best in Boston, just places I like) are Petit Robert Bistro, The Gallows, Oishii, and the South End Buttery (for breakfast / coffee).

If you want really excellent Taiwanese food, try out Jo Jo Taipei in Brighton -- not too far from you on the Green Line (take Green Line B to Packard's Corner).

The Andover Shop in Cambridge for authentic Ivy and Ivy-derived clothing.
It's a veritable shrine to very high-quality traditional clothing.

Stel's is a great store for casual clothing. For Restaurants I would highly recommend No. 9 Park. Other than that I would say Oishii for Sushi. and Sorrellina is good and its right next to the Copley Mall.
