how to get wax off clothes?

went to get eye brows done and apparently the girl dripped wax onto my knit sweater without telling me ...
its gooey and i cant get it off by hand...
anyone has any experience?

I would say try running hot water thru it but it may cause shrinking or some color fading possibly on that spot

Freeze it.

i've only had to iron w/ paper towel and had success.
