I'm searching for a pair of oxford shoes, namely a pair of Armani's.. but all I can find is this ebay seller's used pair: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BEAUTIFUL-LEATHER-LACE-UP-SHOE-GIORGIO-ARMANI-45-12-/280731339119?pt=US_Men_s_Shoes&hash=item415ce4496f

I'd like to find a new pair of those but I can't find any Armani shoes, period.. anyone know of a good place to look?

I have a pair of little worn 44s similar to those in a dark brown for sale.

Looking for black.. and preferably new.

Those are a pretty common style of shoe (a plain-toe blucher), and a rather clunky example at that, why do you need to have Armani? You could get something much better for your money by looking at other brands.

The leather used gives off a sleek shine, in my opinion. They aren't overly shined and have a good, cool feel to them. I've had various 'brands', Armani items haven't let me down yet, in terms of design, quality, or fit.

You sound like you're only comparing them to crappy fashion 'brands' and not real shoe makers.

I have family members that have considerably old pairs of Armani shoes, so.. they wear well, keep a good look, and are overall dependable, what's the issue?

MIne do exactly that and why the harrassment over your desire to purchase Armanis?

I've no issue with you buying Armani shoes, I'm sure some of them are okay, I just don't see why they must be Armani when there are plenty of other possibilities which are at least as good or better.

If you asked "where can I get a plain-toe blucher like these Armani ones" you would likely have a lot more answers, all of which would be at least as 'dependable' as your Armani pairs, and many of which would be superior in style and durability (although possibly also costing more).

+ 1

If for some reason you do want Armani shoes, then go to an Armani outlet, boutique or one of the larger department stores that stock Armani. I have bought several pairs of Armani shoes in the past, and the only reason why I got them was because of large discounts where, at the time, they were cheaper than anything else. Quality wise, there is nothing there you wont find in a typical $400+ pair of dress shoes. Only buy Armani unless you are absolutely hooked on the label and cant look left or right past it.

I had a few GA mainline shoes that I bought here in Barney's. You van also find them on the GA store on Madison & 65th. I'm sure if you really want the shoes, call the boutique and they will mail them to you. If you want discount go to the outlets.

I agree with others GA quality is unremarkable compared to other brands with similar pricepoints. They do make some nice designs (albeit not the plaintoe blucher) and are fine if you get them at a discount. Goo luck!

Welcome to Styleforum rhoper1982. Don't worry about Sanguis Mortuum here, he won't bite you. He is encouraging you to take a good look at those shoes and ask yourself , 'do you really want to wear those shoes or would you like to wear something much nicer'. (psst....Ask him 'what equivalent / or better to those Armani's would he recommend'.)
You may find his (and others') response quite interesting and enlightening, He was telling you the truth; the shoes on that Ebay ad are nothing special and they are rather chunky. There are many nicer shoes to own and wear. If you open your mind to alternatives we are at the ready to assist you with suggestions.
