Some fighters will signal that they will not touch gloves, which is fine, but if you don't signal this, or take the opportunity to throw a punch, that makes you a bitch. I know that the hug is not as customary in boxing as it is in MMA, but that was a sucker punch, objectively. Whether or not it was legal is a technicality. It's too bad that Money felt the need to throw those punches, because he was cruising his way to a victory anyway, and unless he a series of uncharacteristic mistakes, he wasn't going to lose.

Ortiz ruled out all traces of civility with that headbutt. He cheated, plan and simple. And even worse, he didn't cheat to gain some sort of tatical advantage. He cheated with the intent to hurt Mayweather. Headbutts are no laughing matter. The kind of cuts caused by butts often leave the sort of scar tissue that makes the cut prone to re-opening. That sort of thing can follow a fighter his entire career. That's far worse than a lack of sportsmanship.

Ortiz got exactly what he deserved.

I watched the fight. Mayweather was in the right. Ortiz bitched up. It's that simple.

Your dumb.

Did anyone notice how Ortiz tried to follow up the headbutt with a punch? That proved his intent. That's not someone you accept an apology from and take lightly. You'll get bit if you keep that kind of snake in your yard instead of taking care of it immediately.

I never said that Ortiz was in the right, but that doesn't justify Mayweather's sucker punch. As for scar tissue, yes, I know all about that. I fought MMA under a variety of rule structures, and nearly all of them allowed elbows and knees. Those will open you up to the bone. I still have scars around my eyebrows from fights a full decade ago.

Ortiz ia full of shit and got exposed:

When Victor Ortiz was nine, Floyd Mayweather Jr was 19. He had been pro for literally a few months. Mayweather won his first world title when he was 21, at 130 pounds. Ortiz was 11. Now, maybe you're saying, "Aw, geez, he could have forgotten how old he was," but no, no, no, no. Don't insult yourself. This just never happened at all. How this made it through without anyone in the "real media" going, "Hey, this story is bullshit! Explain yourselves!" is beyond me....
