This was the 1st movie I watched in my just-completed media room. It was pretty amazing, and I have to think a good bit of that would be lost without a similar environment (big screen and great surround). Some movies don't require submersion in the film, this IMO does. I tend to pay a lot of attention to camera work, it's just something of interest. It was PERFECT for the story/atmosphere in this movie.
I love that movies like this still can get made, though it probably took a shitload of effort and someone like Gosling to make it happen. I definitely have my quibbles but it is a tremendous standout.
