I appreciate the reply, I wasn't commenting because of the forum post but because of a specific item that i'm watching that got a further reduction for the first time today. my bad

I am a customer of Self Edge and SE is one of my favorite stores so I am not looking for an internet fight, but I share MrPorterBot's observation. I have been watching a few items that are well stocked and noticed a first further markdown yesterday.

Then suddenly the first reduction is last reduction (I've been trying to keep track, this is the first post-launch reduction right?)

Don't hype what you can't live up to. I totally appreciate any sale at all, and understand if you can't afford certain discounts, just don't make false hyped up claims that quickly fizzle

How does the fit of your Dehen 1920 varsity jackets differ from the original version they sell on their site? I couldn't find any measurements from Dehens web store to compare. With the great price I really want to buy one for the upcoming winter but am hesistant because of sizing. I'm 6'3,190 somewhat broad shoulders what would be your best guess as to the XL fitting taller guys with athletic build? my main concern is the length of the jacket not sitting low enough lol.  @kiya

The fit on our jackets is a completely new fit designed for Self Edge. The main difference is the arms are a little slimmer and the body is slightly slimmer, we find the regular Dehen jackets to be too baggy all over. Sounds like the XL would be perfect for you considering your weight/height.

I have the same question and would love your input on sizing.

I have a 40in chest with a 18in shoulder. With a height of 168cm.

My custom shirts are around 43-44in in the chest.

Thats why i am torn between a size S & M.

I would go for the Medium. I have a 38" chest and i wear a Small in that jacket.

Would you by chance know how much the jacket tapers down to at the waist? The XL chest seems to be about 49 inches I think if you had to guess what would you put the waist or bottom hem at for a XL?

I wouldn't be able to make a guess for something like that, but we still have the XL in our LA and NY stores, you may call there during business hours to get any measurements not shown on our site.

New Flat Head Shirts, Delraiser Horsehide Jackets, & Various Shell Cordovan Wallets and Card Cases

Flat Head has just delivered to us a large shipment of new shirts, jackets, and wallets.

We have three new shirts including one which is a beautiful combination of a seersucker fabric with a check pattern woven in over the seersucker; this shirt is also made up to size 48, a first for Flat Head. Flat Head has also reproduced their popular sawtooth denim shirt and is now made up to size 46 for the first time.

The best selling leather jacket at our stores is Flat Head's Delraiser jacket, it's a custom designed "toned down perfecto" style jacket made exclusively for Self Edge. This is the ultimate version of this style jacket, from the fit to the leather, it's unreal. We get these once a year and they've just hit all stores this week.

Along with these shirts and jacket we've received a fresh run of shell cordovan wallets and card cases from Flat Head along with a small restock of the cordovan and cowhide Wild Child wallet.

All these items are available now at all Self Edge stores.

3sixteen x CHUP Socks, Crosscut Flannels, & High Rise Skinny Women's Jeans

A shipment of socks, shirts, and jeans from 3sixteen has just landed at all of our stores.

They've gotten together with Japan's famed CHUP company to produce a set of patterned socks where the blue/navy areas are indigo-dyed; over time the sock's pattern will change as the indigo wears and washes out.

We've also received this year's version of their popular crosscut flannel shirt, this time in a great orange color

We know many have been waiting for a higher rise skinny jean from 3sixteen+ and they've finally arrived. These are available now in both an indigo denim and a black/black "eyeliner" denim.

Iron Heart Winter Shirts!

We've had an amazing month for Iron Heart shirts and it's not slowing down anytime soon. We just received three top notch shirts from them and we have a feeling they're going to be future classics in Iron Heart's line-up.

First up we have a yarn-dyed indigo corduroy shirt which is perfect for layering and will fade over time like a good pair of jeans.

Next up is a new 12oz indigo/natural denim shirt with full tonal (dark blue) stitching throughout; perfect as a toned down denim shirt.

Lastly we have an indigo/indigo 10oz denim shirt with indigo-dyed tonal constructional thread. The look of this denim is just unreal in person and we can tell it's going to age to a popping bright indigo shade over time.

Hi,

I just placed my first order with Self Edge yesterday at 1pm and received my order today.  I realize I am not that far being in Mill Valley and the shipment came from SF but fantastic service getting the time out same day.  Fantastic speed.  I also sent Kiya a few emails and he was VERY quick to respond to my questions.

Regards,

Mark
