Dear Kiya - Please stock XS iron heart shirts !!! Even the size small has a 42 chest usually , which in most brands, is a medium to large. I don't understand their shirt sizing, but their XS is a 38 chest , and Im a 36 chest, but you guys never buy this.

I'm sorry but we've stocked X-Small in the past and just gotten stuck with that size for months and months.. I'm not sure when the last time you bought or tried on an IH shirt but their sizing has gotten smaller over the years. I know the measurements may not tell the full story but many of their flannels fit smaller than what the measurements suggest.

So it means even though its shown as a 42in chest it measures smaller?

Do you guys "update" the sizing chart to reflect that?

The problem with measurements Is that they're both incomplete, and sometimes give an inaccurate idea of how a garment fits.

Two garments can have the same measurement in chest, but fit quite differently because of the differences In the back and through the shoulders and whole. The upper back measurement across the lats is hardly ever given.

Yes, every new shirt is measured to have updated measurements on the site.

Wouldn't the shoulders measurement give you the right idea of how the back would fit though?

Flat Head Wine Block Check Shirt, Jean Price Reductions, and Restocks

We've just received a large shipment of restocked items from Flat Head with the addition of a really good new short sleeve block check shirt. This is their light weight version of their heavy flannel which has a deep weave pattern and a nice soft touch on the inside.

All prices for Flat Head's jeans have been dropped quite a bit this week, this permanent price drop brings all their jeans in the low $300's now. We've recevied restocks of almost all jean models, wallets, rings, bracelets, wallet chains, and more. All these items are available now at all Self Edge stores.

Polished Good Art Belt Loop Buddy & Ambrosia Magazine

We've just received a new run of Good Art's Belt Loop Buddy, the best way (and best looking way) to secure your keys onto a belt loop. This new run has a hand finished polish giving the brass a bright gold look. The new run also has a branded circular split-ring.

Along with the new Belt Loop Buddy run we've received a new magazine by the name of Ambrosia. Ambrosia is made by the same fine people which produce Drift, which by the number of copies we sell, seems to be extremely popular and collectible. Great photos, great writing, and printed on Eames paper. Yes, Eames designed paper, if you can't afford a chair maybe a magazine will do.

Both of these items are available at all five Self Edge stores now.

Do any of you guys own the recent 3sixteen crosscut flannel? Can you comment on sizing/fit? I've looked at their fit guide but i'm worried about shrinkage. I normally wear a size large across most brands but with 3sixteen's fit guide it appears a medium would be a better fit. Should I go with a large to account for possible shrinkage?

How secure are those belt loop buddy's? I've got the the Self Edge "S" and it works pretty good, but looking for something more secure.

Very, it loops around the jean belt loop. Never had a issue. Would recommend

Same here.  I've never had an issue with the belt loop falling out of the loop.  I highly recommend it! I actually wish I had another one.

Self Edge x John Lofgren "Dessau" High-Top Sneakers

Once we saw what John Lofgren could do with sneakers with his wildly popular Champion series we needed to get in on the action. We've work with Lofgren to create these classic high-top styles, a sneaker that could be part of your daily uniform. They're comfortable, built very well, and the rubber/canvas/stitching quality is as good as it gets for a sneaker.

The new Dessau sneakers are fully hand-made in Japan. They're vulcanized at one of Japan's last remaining factories still committed to this process and made from 100% cotton woven in Japan. But it's only when you pick them up, or more importantly put them on your feet, that you'll find what truly sets them apart. Feel that extra heft, that extra cushion. And the bar keeps rising...taped seams, metal eyelets and vents, double stitched stress points, full sponge insoles, reinforced heel and toe cups. A new gold standard for the classic sneaker.

These are available now in limited numbers in our online store and at SENY, SELA, and SEPDX.
