Iron Heart Indigo Oxford, Socks, and Dry Bones Red-D Slim

Iron Heart has made the perfect indigo/indigo-dyed long sleeve oxford shirt, perfect for when you want to break in a shirt that's going to age well with wear during the warmer months. This 100% cotton oxford is made of pure-indigo rope dyed cotton yarn woven in a traditional oxford weave that will fade with regular wear and washing.

We've also received Iron Heart's first pair of socks which they've designed in-house. The fabric and fit went through many iterations until they came to this final product, perfect for wearing with boots.

Along with these new items we've received a new run of the Dry Bones Red-D slim cut jeans with a newly designed leather patch. This jean has been a staple in our line-up for nine years and continues to be a great option for those looking for a longer inseam slim cut jean.

The Flat Head Delraiser Horsehide Jacket, Summer Collection of Shirts, & Wild Child Wallets

We have been waiting for the Flat Head Delraiser horsehide jacket for over a year and can firmly say it was well worth the wait. We started with Flat Head's double-riders jacket and removed the epaulets, waist belt, and collar buttons for a cleaner/minimal look. No offense to the classic double-riders but we find it can be a little busy with so many zippers, buttons, and belt loops. This jacket came out perfect for us. We've named it after the hardest working comic in the business, Dean Delray, which performs over 500 shows a year all around the country and has only ridden his Harley from gig to gig. Dedicated isn't a strong enough word to describe Dean. The Delraiser jacket is available now in limited quantities at all of our stores.

We've also received four new summer shirts from Flat Head including one which has some seriously insane fabric made on a punch-card dobby loom. Along with the shirts we've gotten a restock of the Wild Child wallet in both tan and black made of cowhide, shell cordovan (horse), and pigskin. This wallet has a wider variety of meats than a churrascaria.

All of these items along with a restock of all of Flat Head's rings, wallet chains, belts, and jeans are available now at all Self Edge stores.

interested in the SC 2009

couple of Qs

for hemming how to you measure inseam? - straight down the seam, or the diagonal (afaik there is a slight difference in result)

when it says "will stretch up to 1.5" i assume that is a maximum,

and that if you buy 0.5"-0.75" smaller than a well worn jean - they would stretch out nice but not too much?

Any other pics of 2009 and various stages of wear.  the model name 2009 is kind of terrible for tracking pics / reviews down.

We measure in a straight line from the center of the crotch down to the end of the inseam/leg.

That stretching info is maximum stretch over a few months time. To check out other worn in jeans which look similar after wear search Sugar Cane's 1947 jean.

How should I size Mr Freedom t shirts? the specs in SE are very different from the specs in MF site, for the same product. I usually wear an S in t shirts, I am good with 20.9 inches more less pit to pit.

I am size S in the 3 sixteen t shirts, but these are very straight in the body design, should I get the same in MF?

Thanks, I am still a bit afraid because 1) by the specs, measurements are smaller  in MF, is this accurate? 2) I can fit in 3sixteen size S tees because the cut is totally straight from pit to bottom, no shape at all unlike most t-shirts, it is like that in MF as well?

MF's tees are also cut somewhat boxy, there isn't much mid-section taper, but not as slim as the 3sixteen tees.

Mister Freedom Le Marin T-Shirts & Drift Magazine - Tokyo

We've been eagerly anticipating the arrival of these Mister Freedom t-shirts since we saw them at the Toyo expo in Tokyo in the fall. These are made of a 100% cotton jersey knit fabric which was designed by Mister Freedom and woven in Japan. This fabric was a labor of love for Mister Freedom, weaving this particular style of fabric isn't common and is quite pricey. Price and difficulty of production isn't something that deters these guys easily, hence why we have beautiful t-shirts such as the Le Marin.

Along with these tees we've received volume two of Drift Magazine, this one focusing on Tokyo. Drift takes you through Tokyo's coffee culture, from canned coffee vending machines to third wave roasters, and everything in between. This is the first English language publication doing such a comprehensive feature on Tokyo's coffee scene and is essential reading for coffee or Tokyo lovers.

The Imperial SE23BSP Slim Tapered Jean

Imperial is one of the few brands we were carrying when we opened the doors to the first Self Edge in 2006. After all these years we've seen them stay true to their signature styles, we've done a few collaborative projects with them, and a few years ago they even shifted production from Australia to Japan.

With this new SE23BSP jean we've worked with Imperial to produce a loosely woven unsanforized 15.5oz Japanese selvedge denim made by small mill in Kojima. The mill was instructed to pay extra attention to keeping the core of the rope-dyed weft yarns super white, so only the outer edge of the yarn is dyed with the indigo bath. This super white-core yarn combined with the abrasive nature of this fabric will lead to some serious Boss Level fades. This fabric is available now at all Self Edges stores in a new slim tapered fit.
