Flat Head Jackets & Shirt - Limited Collection

Every year Flat Head does a few items which they go over the top on and do a small run for just a few of their stores. This year we're carrying those limited items at Self Edge.
We have two jackets and a button down white chambray shirt.

The first jacket is a black wool varsity jacket. Flat Head does one varsity every year and in Japan they are among the most collectible items that Flat Head produces. Amazing quality on the woven wool outer and herringbone rayon liner, great fit, and top notch details.

The second jacket is a wool and horsehide Perfecto style jacket. Flat Head takes a traditional Perfecto style jacket and does it in their black shuttle-loom woven wool and adds Scandinavian black horsehide accents. A great fit and a versatile jacket that can be worn two ways, both as a cafe racer style when zipped all the way up or as a tradition Perfecto style with the collars down. Quality is what can be expected from the Flat Head company, flavorful in every way.

We've also received a limited production shirt from Flat Head combining their original buttons which they've started manufacturing in Japan in 2010, stitched using their newly acquired Union Special triple-stitch machine, and a newly developed selvedge white chambray fabric.

All these items along with a full restock of the F310, F380, 4001BK, Women's Balder, and SE05BSP jeans are now available in the online store and all three Self Edge stores, we've also received a full restock of the leather & silver bracelets and cordovan card cases:

Hey Kiya, The IH Super Tan Belt in XL, is 40 the total length of the belt end to end, or is that from the buckle to the middle hole? Thanks

That's from the base of the prong to the middle hole, so the overall length would be at least 4" longer.

The Self Edge Passion #1 - Coffee

All of our employees and managers across our three stores have many passions in common. One of those is coffee.
We love the idea behind the process and ritual behind the making and drinking of an espresso or coffee of any kind.
There is a coffee outfit in New York City by the name of The Coffee Foundry which we've been quite impressed by.

Run by two guys from Brooklyn, they roast beans in their back yard then serve their coffee in multiple variations from espresso to single cup pour-overs in their West Village cafe. We don't just love them because they wear our jeans, they make some of the most soulful coffee you've ever tasted.
From single plantation beans to timing your every espresso pull, this is what coffee is and these guys Do It Street.

It definitely is a far more forward coffee town than NYC, the best coffee roasters in SF get enough press as it is, we thought we'd highlight a newer crew of guys from NY.

Are you planning on getting a Skull restock any time soon? I need another pair of 50-10xx's in my life.
