Heads up folks, due to the impending hurricane and the resulting shutdown of public transit, SENY will be closed tomorrow, 10/29, and may be slightly delayed in opening up on 10/30 depending on how the hurricane progresses. If you'd like to stop by on Tuesday, please be sure to call ahead to make sure we're there. To all our east coast customers, stay safe.

We're still closed today and will remain closed indefinitely as Hurricane Sandy repair and cleanup efforts continue. We'll post up here when we're able to reopen. In the meantime, for those who were not able to make it to the party two Saturdays ago to meet the Iron Heart team, here's the next best thing - a very rare appearance by Haraki-san on video!

Self Edge New York Update & Iron Heart Pop-Up

After spending the entire week closed due to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Self Edge New York will be open again for regular hours starting today. We wish the best to those affected by this disaster and for a speedy recovery to the strong and resilient people of New York City (and surrounding areas).

Due to the SENY Iron Heart pop-up being cut short we have extended the pop-up at SENY until November 7th. During this time we can still take phone orders for any items which are only available at SENY during these next few days. Come by the shop and see the goods.

We just added a load of new items from nearly every brand we carry including some yearly restocks (like Buzz Rickson pea-coats) to our online store. We also got Inventory Magazine 07 in with the pink camo guy on the front cover.

Yellow Rat Shirts & Winter Coats

Yellow Rat has just delivered three great pieces for the fall and winter. Two new shirts, one being the first Yellow Rat flannel shirt we've had, and a great winter coat in black melton wool.

The winter coat is one of those great standard pieces which is not only extremely versatile but very warm and functional. We got a limited number of these at the stores, they're sure to go quick.

Buzz Rickson Pea-Coats & William Gibson Watch Caps + Sugar Cane Winter Shirts

Just received one of the best selling items we have every year, the Buzz Rickson Navy Melton Wool Pea-Coat. Buzz Rickson only makes a limited number of these every year and we try and get as many as we can every year. They're available now at all of our stores and in our online store.

Along with the pea-coat we've received Buzz Rickson's famous wool watch caps in olive, navy, and the Buzz Rickson x William Gibson black version.

We also have received two new Sugar Cane shirts. The first shirt is a black jean cord shirt that they do every year with a slight variation every time. The second piece is a flannel shirt that happens to be the heaviest weight flannel we've ever seen Sugar Cane do, the pattern on this thing is rocking.

Mister Freedom Winter Collection - Men of the Frontier

From our favorite story building designer comes a collection of jackets, shirts, and jeans perfect for colder climates. Mister Freedom has always kept us on our toes when it comes to creating a collection that tells a great story with fabrics that push the envelope of what Sugar Cane is able to produce in Japan.

From this new collection we have two new jackets, two shirts, and a pair of jeans. The jackets come in both denim and blanket versions, the fit is slim, and the details are wild. With the shirts we see Mister Freedom doing their first set of flannel shirts. We've been waiting for Christophe Loiron's interpretation of a classic flannel for years and these do not disappoint. Last but not least we have a new jean with a great fit and awesome front pocket opening details.

Dry Bones Winter Shirts & Watch Caps

Dry Bones has just delivered some great pieces for the winter months. Three new flannels and a two wool and acrylic blend watch caps.

Two of the flannels are of a heavy weight with a great choice of details in the pocket and button designs. One flannel is a single needle stitched shirt made of a medium weight brushed flannel, easy to wear dressed up or down.

The watch caps are a Dry Bones developed fabric which is a blend of virgin wool and acrylic, they keep you super warm and are comfortable.

Iron Heart Winter Shirts and The Vulcan Jean

Iron Heart does warm shirts very well and every year we look forward to what they have in store for us when it comes to heavy weight shirts. This year we've received the heavy herringbone shirts which quickly sold out and now we've got two new ones.

The first Iron Heart shirt is their red buffalo check shirt in a super heavy weight flannel and custom Pemex buttons. Next up is a black 8oz denim shirt with hand pockets thats lined with a cotton blanket with quilted satin sleeves for comfort.

Along with these new shirts we've received the new Vulcan jean. This jean is in the 634s cut and made out of a 18oz raw unsanforized denim, a great fitting jean that is super functional due to all the hidden pockets on the inside of the regular pockets.

These three new items along with a full restock of all jeans, belts, and jackets are available now at all three Self Edge stores.
