Swedish Clothing and Style Thread

Yo,
a thread for fellow swedophiles. I'd like to keep the conversation centered around clothing and the ways people are wearing it, but how could I frown upon any relevant insights into trashy swedish subculture or amazing musical talent, architecture or whatever else?

Swedish style has held a fascination for me over the last two years or so. Whyred, Our Legacy, Burglar Co., Acne, 5th Ave Shoe Repair, Uniforms for the dedicated, Cheap Monday etc. etc. Musical acts like Fever Ray, the plan, familjen, dogge dogge lito. Tres bien is killing the retail game. Tall, ferocious blonde women. Musical voices in a weird as fuck language. Don't get me wrong, it's a weird as fuck language that I can't get enough of.

When it comes to Swede style, my general oversights off the top of my head are:

1) Modern Stream-lined take on classics, à la Our Legacy
More interestingly
2) Weird, playful combinations. Eclectic.
3) More sinister. think of some whyred collections and the early Cheap Monday stuff, 5th Ave. Not quite goth or necessarily as much of a reach as say Rick Owens, but perhaps we could say that it's in that general direction...Love it. All that black looks amazing with such pale skin and bleached hair.

Perhaps we could sort of combine 1 and 2 say that Swedish style finds itself at an interesting intersection of minimalism/reduction and eclectic combinations.

Tucking pants into socks, happy socks.

Maybe not the OP's idea of Swedish style, but I'm a great admirer of pop band the Acid House Kings, they sum up Swedish style to me.

Don't do that, it looks retarded and that trend, has since 4 years ago worked it's way down to 14 year olds in fake evisu jeans, spiky hair, ugly generic trainers and white gym socks.baldy[1].gif

Most of the swedes I know are very preppy in their style and they don't really wear nudie etc.

But they still like to wear big vintage (often fake because not necessary) glasses...especially the women.
