Trying to find a certain pair of pants

I bought a pair of pants last spring and since then, I've been trying to find a similar pair, but I can't find it.

The brand is Calvin Klein, and what I really like about the pants is that it's extremely comfortable. The cotton is very soft and smooth, probably because the fabric also a lot thinner (or is it cloth lightness?). It wrinkles a bit easier than the heavier cotton pants I wear, but I don't care about that too much.

It's a casual pair that I wear to work everyday. This pair is starting to show some fraying at the edges so I want to get a few replacement pairs. I bought it on sale at Marshall's and I've been searching CK's website for a similar pair and they aren't the same. I go to the CK section in the mall and all of their pants are a lot thicker and less comfortable to wear. The closest I've come to are a pair of Banana Republic pants, but it's still not as light and comfortable as my current pair of pants.

Does anybody know what I'm talking about? Do they still sell these kinds of pants? Because I've looked everywhere at the mall for them and I can't find it again.

Personally I've never noticed the weight of cloth making the slightest bit of difference to how comfortable my trousers are; from linen summer trousers to thick tweed winter trousers the only thing that make a difference to comfort is the fit.

Frankly, I think you're a bit weird.

Different fabrics have different weights and feels. He's not insane. The linen pants I'm wearing right now are a softer, airier fabric than a standard chino, and I sure as hell notice the difference in how the fabric feels against my skin. It's not necessarily the weight that does it, there are a lot of factors that go into how the fabric might feel against skin.

OP: I don't think you'll be able to find the same pants, at least right now. Clothing sales are seasonal- right now the stuff you can buy is made for fall/winter- heavier and warmer fabrics, different colors and whatnot. The lighter weight stuff is going to be sold in and for spring and summer. You'll be able to find pants made from similar fabrics then, even if not the exact same pant.

Hmm, that makes sense. They're not going to sell pants that are thinner/lighter during the winter. I guess I'll have to wait 6-8 months before I can find a similar pair.

And Sanguis Mortuum: That is absolutely absurd. If you don't feel a difference even when the cloth is made out of a different material, then you're the weird one. Cotton, wool, linen, silk, they all have a different feel. And the weight of the fabric DOES matter. Thinner materials are more flexible, and that's more comfortable when you're moving around.

Of course I feel a difference, but not a difference in comfort. Thick tweed trousers are just as comfortable as thin cotton ones, except on hot days of course.

And what are you going to do in the winter when it's too cold to wear thin trousers? Wear them anyway and freeze your balls off (so to speak)?
