J.Crew Spring 2012 - Page 13

http://hypebeast.com/2012/05/quiksilver-for-j-crew-surf-heritage-boardshorts/

Having collaborated with everyone from Nike and New Balance to Thomas Mason, Levi’s and more, J.Crew has now added Huntington Beach-based Quiksilver to their impressive stock. Harkening back to 1970s surf culture, the retro-inspired board shorts come with 7 1/2 inch inseams alongside cotton/nylon construction and a velcro/snap combo closure. Topped off with floral accents for three of the four offerings, each piece is now available from J.Crew for $75 USD.

That looks like every other Quiksilver board shorts model. For double the price.

Has anyone handled/purchased that orange striped sweater yet? I'm probably going to buy it soon, just wondering if anyone has impressions yet.

Have to say, I'm really impressed with the quality of the 484 slim selvedge raw I got from deez nuts. The cool deets I look for checked off: hidden rivets on the back pocket, burr rivets on the front and coin pocket, selvedge on the inner flap of the button fly where the buttons are, and a different fabric on the holes side of the button fly. Think it's chainstitched on the hem, too. Not a big fan of the exposed selvedge on the coin pocket, but that's the only quibble I have on it.

It's made in China, but it's really impeccably made. Where the denim is sourced from, I don't know, but it's not too thin, not summer weight, at least not for me.

Yeah, the hem is chainstitched.  My roommate just got a pair the other day.

I really like this. Will probably pick it up if I see it. I wonder if it'd make it to sale time.

Anyone have luck using 20-30% off coupons on Alden's? I was able to squeeze one in last year and I'm hoping it could work again haha.

I have in the past. You had to do it right when the coupon posted before they updated some excluded product pages. Haven't tried recently, but they've updated their site since, so I think they're tightening down on that.

Eh..I have to ask this...What happened to Chippewa being carried by Jcrew? Was this a limited run or are they going to re update stock again? The rugged boots section is deserted with only two styles.
