Black window-pane suit: acceptable for daytime wear?

I've had it for years, it looks great on me. I never have occasion to wear it.

eh, maybe for a flashy night event like wedding or fundraiser or whatever.

I'm not so sure about daytime office-wear...


pics, particularly fit pics would help.

SF - no
Real world - in most work places, yes; shopping/eating out/etc, most places yes
Wedding/funeral/etc - if not in the main wedding party, yes

Personally - donate to charity shop or burn (sorry)

Sorry, no pics. I bought it before I "knew better". I would never wear a solid black or black pinstripe suit in the day, but the window-pane pattern almost makes it look charcoal.

Probably fine. I know many whom wear black chalkstripe during the day - including myself since my own dark navy chalkstripe suit may as well be black chalkstripe due to the navy being so dark. If windowpane pronounced, it could work since it cuts up the blackness.
