Long arm of the forumite

I am skinny (5'10", 150lb) with long arms (I need 27" shirt sleeves). I've given up on OTR shirts and am starting to kick goals with MTM shirts from Modern Tailor and Biased Cut. So far so good and I would highly recommend this approach to other forumites with similar builds. It's more expensive that OTR of course, but worth it.

HOWEVER: that leaves every other garment with long sleeves still a problem, and in particular, jackets. Most any 36R jacket that will fit me in the body is going to have sleeves that are 1.5-2" too short, and that's pushing it in terms of how much fabric there is to let out in the cuffs.

Bespoke would be the answer, but I can't remotely afford that.

My question for anyone with a similar build then: have you found a brand / model in sport coats / suit jackets that is sufficiently slim, and that also has sufficient fabric to let out in the cuffs? I await your kind information.

You will need to look to Continental European brands for suits that are narrow, yet long enough. You will not in find a 36L. I haven't yet. You could also look to the expensive skinny Fashion designer labels like Dior Homme, who tend to sell a fairly classically styled suit each season, in a 46 (euro) and usually not marked as either R or L but essentially a long or semi long. Their suits run so narrow you may even need a 48.

Another option is made to measure but search around the forum for pictures because the results are usually not that great.
