1 inch is way too thin. It looks like a female belt.

1.25-inch is the standard width for a dress belt. 1.5-inch the standard width for a jeans belt.

1-inch belts are too thin and would look girly regardless of how thin or short you are.

Contra most posters on the thread, I prefer 1" myself. Straps this wide to be worn with a slide buckle are sold by classic providers such as Trafalgar, RL, and BB.

1 and 1/8th inch is the right size for dress belts.

1.25 is a casual belt.

If you want a casual belt, do 1 and 3/8ths.

1 inch belts are classic dressy belts, but have fallen out of favor recently.

I found out the belts are either 1 1/8'' or 1 3/16''. If I go with the 1 3/16'', could I pair it with wool pants, cotton pants and jeans? Meaning, can I wear it with business casual and just weekend casual?

Same issue, went with a 1" belt, awful, if you're 5'3 or less maybe, but 1" is tiny, 1.25 is much more aesthetically pleasing.

I prefer to go for the wider belt, but then again i'm 6'1 and 205 lbs!

Not that I've had a chance to measure my belts, I agree. 1.25 is too wide for a dress belt.

I think 1 inch is ok for business formal/suits but if I had to choose a belt for a business casual i'd go with a thicker one.
1 inch is just too raffiné for bcasual.
