Help Identifying Shoes

Thread Starter
I bought these pairs of shoes at a market in Boston the other weekend for $20 and need help assessing if they are any good or just a POS. From what I can make out from the soles, it says Lyons & Volpi. Thanks for any help, and hopefully my I did not completely fail at my first attempt of buying old shoes at a market.

The brand wont usually determine whether its a pos purchase or a find. Its obviously the quality of the shoe. For example if i find a pair of alden or Church shoes that are completely cracked and creased, and a pair of relatively well kept allen edmonds, i would say the AE's are a better find even if they aren't as pricey and as ritzy a brand.

while the soles look mostly fine (although it could be otherwise based on more accurate toe photos), better photos of the creasing on the top and more photos of the uppers would really help us assess whats going on. Regardless they were 20 bucks and not that big a deal.

I don't know if there's a good way at buying old, worn shoes at a market, tbh.
