What Happened To My Collar?

Below are two coats from the same tailor. Both were cut from the same pattern.

The first is a Fox Flannel in gray, the second one is the same fabric from Fox Flannel in blue. (Ignore the color of the pictures as they came out looking very similar in color).

The chalk stripes on the collar line up perfectly on the first coat, but not the second.

1.) What happened?
2.) Can it be corrected?

Easy enough to correct and yes it is correctable. The center back seam needs to be adjusted to line up the stripes of the back part with the collar. The stripes line up to the right of the center seam. The center back seam needs to be opened and let out on the left side to reveal the stripe. This will shift the stripes of the back part to move to the left and line up with the collar. It is easy but there are a lot of steps to opening and resetting the collar. I don't think the back needs to be opened so much that it would make the collar tight.
The two jackets are cut differently. The top one has the seam centered between the stripes and the lower picture has the seam on the stripe.
