From the photos alone I'm indifferent. I'd have to see them in person to tell for certain if they're worth it. I do like the idea of a more rugged dress shoe though.

I don't get adding lug soles to an Oxford upper. If you need the lug sole you will likely need ankle support. Otherwise it's just pretension. I'd wear my Blunnies before I'd wear those.
If by hard wearing you mean durable you don't necessarily need lugs. Lugs are for rough terrain, and it follows that on uneven ground I would want ankle support as well. It's also more balanced from an aesthetic point of view. Just my opinion.what does ankle support have to do with waterproof welt and hard wearing sole for country style boots/shoes?
