The Kiowa is interesting. Denim for sure with any of these models.

From the photos alone I'm indifferent. I'd have to see them in person to tell for certain if they're worth it. I do like the idea of a more rugged dress shoe though.

Definitely would wear with jeans. I like the first two, not a huge fan of the black hills. Seeing them in person would be a big plus.

Storm welt?

 

I would rather stick to Tricker's.  IMO the last lacks a bit of character like Tricker's 4444/4497s.

I don't get adding lug soles to an Oxford upper. If you need the lug sole you will likely need ankle support. Otherwise it's just pretension. I'd wear my Blunnies before I'd wear those.

what does ankle support have to do with waterproof welt and hard wearing sole for country style boots/shoes?

So they took a strand and added some work boot soles? At the same time they don't offer a proper formal shoe anymore. Interesting priorities.

If by hard wearing you mean durable you don't necessarily need lugs. Lugs are for rough terrain, and it follows that on uneven ground I would want ankle support as well. It's also more balanced from an aesthetic point of view. Just my opinion.
