Quick payoff/High Payoff fitness appearance strategies

We work out for a lot of reasons, health, sports, enjoyment, etc but come on, we also do it to LOOK GOOD. With that in mind, just like certain simple items can make a quick or dramatic impact on your dress, so can certain things have a major or instant payoff on your physique. Talk about those things here.

Share any single exercise, supplement, body part focus or anything else that that has an instant payoff for your physical appearance.

For starters, incline chest exercises. These have a huge payoff most guys do not realize. Putting a little extra focus on your upper pecs with incline work is what gives your pecs that square look. Its also creates an the effect where you have dramatic depth at the collarbone. Think of when you see Brad Pitt or somebody in a tank top in a movie (no homo) its not the SIZE of their pecs that makes them look fit, it’s the shape and squared off appearance. In fact, when those actors have to get into shape for a film in a hurry, upper pec work is actually one of the quick fix tricks to up their game.

Basic concept – if you do four exercise for chest in a work out, most guys will relegate upper chest to just one. Instead make it an even split. 2 upper, 2 middle. (lower and middle really kind of go together and don’t need as much individual attention.)

Cross Body hammer curls.
Payoff: Makes your arms look bigger quick.
Idea: Cross body hammer curls develop your bis just as well as any other type of curls, (and keeping them tight to the body develops that softball like roundness similar to regular curls) but they also do a lot to give girth to your forearms.

That is a great illusion. Forearms don’t carry much fat, so any development makes them look bigger and cut. Forearms are noticeable, and they create an impression of strength. Basically a guy with 16 in arms but very well developed forearms comes off as more ripped and muscular than a guy with 18 inch bis but underdeveloped forearms. Two guys with the same arms but one has great forearms is like the fitness equivalent of two guys wearing the same jeans and plain solid T-shirt, but one has noticeably baller status shoes on

Here's one for you: it's called diet. Oh, "no homo" at the end of poasts usually means that the poaster is a latent one himself.

orrrrr "no homo" implies that the poster has a sense of humor, which apparently is not true of all.

I think the point is being missed here. I am not talking about skipping the hard work. Not by any means. Personally, I put in 5-6 days a week and don't half ass a thing. What I AM talking about is getting the most impact on your physical appearance. People work out for lots of different reasons, but for the average person, no matter what the reason, its nice to be able to see some results as well. This entire forum IS about people caring about their physical appearance isn't it?

A bunch of people seem to have jumped up and scoffed at the idea of discussing things that help shape your physical appearance, and yet how many threads in this section or other sites are somebody asking "what can I do for my abs/arms/chest"? So, clearly the idea of people thinking about the most effective ways to manipulate their physical appearance isn't that ridiculous.

The point of this was supposed to be tossing around some info that somebody might find useful towards meeting their goals. I'm surprised (well, ok, not THAT surprised) the the overwhelming response has been "lets just be super negative about everything" instead.

I don't think there is anything that will really have a quick payoff for body appearance besides steroids/HGH/pro-hormones. It takes time and effort to get results. That is why overweight people get discouraged when they go on diets. It takes time to see results.

And even when doing AAS you need to actually do the work if you're going to reap all the benefits.
