HBO has ordered to series its untitled Aaron Sorkin project starring Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer and Sam Waterston.
Alison Pill, Olivia Munn, Dev Patel, John Gallagher Jr. and Thomas Sadoski will also star in the series about a cable news organization that aims high in content amid corporate pressures and interpersonal romance.
Sorkin wrote the pilot and is exec producing with Scott Rudin and Alan Poul, with Greg Mottola directing.
Daniels plays the featured news anchor, with Mortimer as his new exec producer and Waterston as their boss. Pill, Gallagher, Munn, Patel and Sadoski play staff members.
