Why is Nordstrom discounting Santoni Mack slip-ons?

I recently saw that Nordstrom is discounting their Santoni rubber loafer, the Mack, by 55% and it's delayed to ship until December 16.

Does anyone know anything about this? Is something wrong with the shoe? It's the only shoes on sale.

Seems strange.

It looks like a very cheap shoe. I don't see why Nordstrom's would carry it in the first place.

Well I ordered them anyway and was then notified a day later that my order was cancelled because they ran out. Go figure.

update: Found them at the rack for $99 worn & refurbished - my favorite part of Nordstrom Rack. I wish every outlet had this.
