I have had the problem of trying to carry while also trying to be stylish. Do any of you have any tips on how to deal with concealed carry while also trying to look good? Those of you that CC please help me out!

Someone I know owns a textiles company so I can have him do some custom work for me if worse comes to worse.

Seriously, it's not a problem. Carry something small in the small of your back in a belt holster. Not a problem at all.

Have you tried keeping it in your briefcase, messenger bag, or backpack? Harvey's idea is good too.

"So I wanted a quick draw rig for my 1911 but it's very conspicuous and I get strange looks when I'm at Denny's. What do?"

OP you are a goddamn idiot. Are you carrying an MP5 on your daily commute? Don't be an asshole.

"So my sawed off shotgun, which is totally illegal, doesn't fit under my Burberry Raincoat. Should I saw it off even further or pay my tailor to enlarge the armpit? Thanks."

"So on my dangerous daily commute from Chester to West Chester I have to figure out a way to conceal my AR15 about my person. While I like the Fitzgerald cut of the Brooks 1818 model, it doesn't offer me sufficient storage space in the chest area. Suggestions?"

Harvey is on a roll. I guess OP could just wear it like a belt buckle like some "urban" people tend to do.

OP, I cannot express how goddamn stupid you are. You are why our 2nd Amendment rights are being disenfranchised. When someone asks why responsible adults can't have firearms, YOU are the reason.

Harvey_Birdman, you are generally an ass without any idea of why I need to CC or what I CC.

In any case I am using a Uncle Mikes law enforcement holster. It works well while I have a shirt covering it for the most part but makes more professional dress impossible.

OP, assuming that you are a LEO, do a search, there are probably 20 threads on CC.

If the question is a serious one I assume you've got a proper belt and holster. Even with IWB (an IWB is the only ration option for carry in a suit) you need a purpose made gun belt as standard belts are too limp to properly support a holstered handgun. You will need to go a size up on trousers and the coat will have to be tailored. This is why size 46 Short is often associated with LEOs. All of this is going to affect style, fabric choices and so on. In many places you can lose your permit for any accidental show of carry which results in a police call.

Bring your holster, gun belt and a red gun to your tailor. See how he reacts.

All of this assumes that you're comfortable explaining that you carry. If you are not, you should not carry.

In Florida the state I currently live in they lightened the law when it comes to accidentally showing your weapon.

I will show you tomorrow what I use now.
