Diablo 3 beta open

Well, there goes my free time Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
if I get in.

Diablo 2 owned my life in highschool; I think I bought it three different times after swearing to never play it again. Diablo 1 was one of the first games I truly lusted over in grade school. Now that the third one is on the way... damn. To be perfectly honest I'm a little underwhelmed by the gameplay videos, but like all Blizzard products its probably going to kick an insane amount of ass.

Anyone get in?

Doesn't look like I got in...

I think I would rather wait for the finished product though...The first pass through D2 was actually a pretty good storyline and playing random snippets in a beta kind of ruins that.

Are they doing the signups for it or announcing to those who got in??

Also, one cool thing about betas is the chance to see things in a game that are later removed. Remember how many graphics for items and item types were hidden files in Diablo 1 that were later removed from the final product? Some very cool stuff to say the least.

I fucking loved Diablo 1. I was more in to MMORPGs when Diablo 2 came out though.

yeah, seriously. i dream of the starcraft 2 beta... mm, warping in immortals from warp gates. broken.

they're doing signups via an opt-in on your battle.net account, which means you need a copy of a bliz game. its just in the family-and-friends stage right now but give it a couple weeks and we should be seeing some rounds of invites.

some people aren't happy though:

I've beed watching clips of people playing the Beta. Looks pretty good so far! Cannot wait for this game to come out. Looks like Blizzard states that it will be around Early 2012 for a release date. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
