Back of foot hurts with the shoe..

So I'm in Vietnam now and got some shoes done and the back of my foot is hurting because the leather is scraping.

The shoe is a bit long for me (around .5"?) and I wasn't wearing any socks as I was in Vietnam and it's hot. What are the other possible reasons for the scraping? Could it be because the opening is too loose?

im trying to find out the reason why. doubt the reason why it hurts is because it was made in vietnam.

Well a shoe made based on measurements of your foot came out too big and hurt your feet. I would say that has something to do with the level of craftsmanship of the maker in Vietnam.

Could be that the shoe doesn't fit correctly... but it could also just need some breaking in.

craftsmanship is fine. goodyear welted and a clean job i need to know the reason so the next time i get something made i can remedy it. really good price for a custom shoe

which would it be, the length of the shoe or the opening at the mouth (too wide)?

1. The shoe needs more breaking in and were worn too long before this was done.
2. See above + you wore them without socks = Instablisters™

Yup. New shoes, no socks and heat/long wear sum up to foot damage.
